This weekend was full of enjoyable things to do. On Thursday night we went to dinner with Tracy, Tyler, Abby (THE BIRTHDAY GIRL), Keith Butikofer and Tyler's sister Becca, her husband, and Lisa, Bryan and their kids. We went to a restaurant called Craigo's. It was pretty good - all the salad, pasta and pizza that you want for $6.99. Abby tried to eat pizza and bread sticks. On Saturday, Dennis and went out to buy flowers for the "kidney bean" shape in our front lawn - Dennis likes anything that has color in it. He doesn't like just foliage that has no color - I guess green is not a color in his color scheme. We also bought 1 large tomato plant so he can have his tomato sandwiches later this summer. After planting the flowers that we bought we went over to Tracy's for a barbecue and birthday party for Abby. Again, I forgot my camera - but I saw lots of other people taking pictures so I hope they will post them for all to see. It is hard to believe that Abby is 1 year old - it seems like she was just born. Tyler Loftus and Riley came over for a while as well as Travis, Ryan, Kaylee, Aftyn, and little Hunter with the big smile. Chelsey also came, but Tanner had to work. Tyler B. had lots of family and friends their too, but I can't remember all of their names so I won't list them. I am so glad that my children support each other in these types of family gatherings and enjoy each others company. On Sunday Dennis was in Rexburg all day, so I planted the rest of my flowers and washed the kitchen window, boy was it greasy and dirty.

Tanner's big day
Tanner was ordained into the priesthood on Sunday, May 17, 2009 by his father. It was a great day for both Tanner and Chelsey. I know that they are both trying to live the gospel and want to share it with everyone (especially their 3 year old primary class). They invited lots of family and friends from both sides to the big event After the ordination we all went over to Travis and Ryann's house where they fixed wonderful eggrolls for everyone. Travis and Ryann should open up a restaurant and just serve eggrolls! I can't believe that I didn't have my camera with me - so sorry, maybe someone else took a few pictures. It was a beautiful day to spend with friends, family, extended family, kids and grandkids. It is so exciting to watch my kids grow and become wonderful adults in this world. I love them so much and want them to know that I am always proud of them.
Tyler and Neta's Wedding
Well, it was a pretty busy Memorial Day Weekend. On Saturday, May 23rd, Tyler and Neta got married in Pocatello. It was a really nice ceremony and Neta's Mom did a great job decorating the church cultural hall. They used a "Fairy" theme with all of Neta's ceramic fairy figurines.

Lorin Hansen's Funeral, Mother's Day, Recital
Ok it has been awhile since I posted anything. The day before Mother's day was my Mom's (Ruby Hanft) brother Lorin Hansen's funeral. His children did a nice job with the funeral. When they went to go to the cemetery in Goshen, Idaho they transported his casket by horse-drawn wagon and the children/grandchildren followed on horses behind it. The emotional heart-string was his dog tied to the casket on the wagon.
After the funeral Mom, David, Dennis, Tracy & Tyler Butikofer went to the farm to have "pocket stew" for mother's day. Tenille came up a little later and brought Blake with her. Dennis cooked and we all sat around and talked. Mom (Ruby) played in the sand with Abby (Tracy's daughter - check her blog) - they were so cute playing. Blake tried to ride a homemade tricycle, but unfortunately he got it stuck in the mud and Dennis had to go and retrieve him - they both had mud all over their shoes! However, the food was delicious and we had an enjoyable time in the sun, except for Tracy and Dennis who got sunburn.
After our wonderful experience at the "farm" we rushed home so that we could go down to Pocatello and attend Aftyn Loftus' piano recital. She did a great job announcing herself and the piece that she was going to play, afterwards she bowed and exited the stage. Wow! How great is that for a 5 year old. (Note that she is playing on a baby grand - what an experience).
