Updates on Seattle Trip

Seattle was so beautiful the day we went for a walk.  The sky was clear, you could see the boats going into the harbour, people were walking their dogs, jogging, gorgeous day and I love this picture of the space needle.
Laura using her tablet while Collin protects his eyes from the blazing sun or just poking his eyes out - I am not sure exacting what he was doing in this picture.
Troy and Laura out for another walk with their "Moby" - it was so handy for her to use and made walking easier than with the stroller.
Laura enjoying baby Collin - she is such a natural with him.
Troy - changing a diaper like a pro - especially since they are changing about 10-12 diapers a day.
Troy and Laura after a long night or should I say one continual day!
Dennis and Jill with that beautiful baby Collin before we left Seattle to come home.
Ah - the every changing household - from clean counters to bottles for nursing, bassinets, car seats, strollers, blankets, baby cards, changing tables, dressers, cribs, wow - when a baby comes so do all the essentials - where did all the space go in Troy and Laura's house?

Seattle-here we come!

Dennis and I left for Seattle at 8:00 am on Thursday, March 22, 2012. We stayed in the car for 12 straight hours  Happy Anniversary to US.  Orignally, we had planned to drive to Spokane and stop for the night, but Dennis just kept driving.  We did stop for dinner for 20 minutes, and 2 potty breaks.  A total of maybe an hour in stops. We made it to Troy's and Laura house at 7:30 pm Seattle time.  We talked for a while and then went to bed around 11:00 pm.  The next day, we got up late, I was really tired after 12 hours in the car.  We ate cinammon rolls, held the baby, got dressed, held the baby some more, did a few other things, held the baby some more.  It was great!  On Friday, Laura feed Collin and then we went for a drive down by the ocean and walked for almost an hour along the waterfront.  The weather was absolute gorgeous.  Well, now for what you have all been waiting for - up close and personal pictures of Collin. (notice all the different facial expressions that  he makes)

Troy holding his son Collin - he is such a proud daddy - and really good at changing diapers.

Troy and Laura after a nice walk along the beach.

This is the only picture that I took where he was smiling - I am not sure what he was thinking about, but it must have been good.
This was a house that I saw - It was literally covered with plants everywhere - including the handraill going into the house.
It was such a beautiful clear day on the waterfront.  Alot of people were out jogging and walking their dogs. We saw this guy riding an eclipigo bike.  It was an elipical machine on wheels that he was riding while standing up - just like on a stationary machine.  Doesn't he look so peaceful and content with life?

People in my life

Dennis holding Jaxon - I am not sure who has the most hair.
Proud Daddy - holding those babies.
Jaxon - I am not sure what he is planning on getting away with - but he did enjoy climbing on the bar stools.
 Abby's new hair cut!
Riley's new hair cut and horse necklace from Aunt Laura.

 Riley with her Dad.
Dennis playing video games with Blake - I am sure Blake won but Dennis did put a lot of effort into it.  Thanks for being part of my life.

Retirement Party for Deon

Deon, my oldest brother, finally decided to take the big plunge and retire from a working life. We gathered at Rich and Loretta's for a mini-retirement party.

Here is a picture of two of my wonderful sister-in-laws - Loretta (Richard's wife) and Donna (Deon's wife)
I am not sure why I am showing a picture of eggs - but David, my youngest brother raises chickens, and these eggs are fresh from the farm - they are the best eating eggs.
Here are my brother's being typical "brats" in the picture - some day I will get my revenge.
Here is Deon and Donna with Mom - it is hard to believe that she is 93 years old - Way to set a great example for the rest of us.
Here is Richard and Loretta with Mom at their house - Loretta fixed an incredible  dinner for everyone to enjoy.
Yes, and of course here is Dennis and I with Mom - It is so great to have pictures taken with her.  Hopefully, next time, Henry and Ravenna will be here and we can take a "NICE" family photo without any Bunny Ears!  Thanks Brothers!

Double the Pleasure

Well, the twins decided to come to their new family on February 28th.  We had so much fun being a part of their exciting day.  We were so excited to get to share the day with Tanner and Chelsey and all of Chelsey's extended family.  Tanner looks so official in his blue paper clothes.  Because it was a double birth - the twin had to be born in the operating room.  Tiffany (Chelsey's Mom) and I were allowed to stand in the NICU unit where they had a pass-through window from the operating room. Tanner had the privilege of cutting the cord for Cooper, but not Kylie because she had a little harder time descending down the birth canal.  As soon as she was born they rushed her into the NICU unit along with Cooper.  Both babies were having a little problem breathing so they were placed on some oxygen tubes to help their lungs develop. Great Job Tanner and Chelsey!
Here is Dennis holding that little tiny hand - Cooper had an incredible grip for only being a few hours old.
The nurses in the NICU unit put signs about the bassinet for each of the twins.

This is me holding the twins after they arrived home - Chelsey is going to have some great arm muscles after holding two babies all the time.
Here is an up close and personal view of the babies.
Dennis and I are the "typical" extra proud grandparents.
I just love this picture - they look so peaceful and calm.  I wonder if it will last????
Here we are again a week later at Chelsey's parents house.  We went out to Dinner for Tanner's birthday.
Ah, yes the proud parents - Chelsey doesn't even look like she has just had babies - way to go Chelsey!
