Precious New Arrivals

Well - I waited and waited for Mom's to post, but I remember how tired I was after having a baby so I decided I would post just a few of the pictures that I have taken of our 2 new additions to the family.  Below is a picture of the Mom's before delivery - I am sure that they are both going to kill me for posting these pictures.

Travis and Ryann with the new delivery - Madelynn Leah born on Monday, May 2nd.
A close up picture of Madelynn!
Tracy, Tyler, and Abby with their new arrival - Jaxon Reye on Monday, June 6
 A close up of Jaxon!
Oh, here are the two "kissing Cousins" on Father's Day!
And a few other additions to the photo!
I am pretty sure that Jaxon was tired of having his picture taken - oh, well he might as well get used to it because it is going to just keep happening.
OK - I couldn't resist posting a few more pictures - they are just so precious together.  It just doesn't get any better than this.

Ruby's Farm

At this time of year we generally go to the cemetery and decorate graves, but it just happened to be storming on Memorial Day Weekend, so we decided to go up the following weekend on June 4th.  We met Mom at the farm and made pocket-stew over the fire. We had a great visit and she just loves seeing the grandkids.
Here is Abby with her pink cowboy hat.
This is precious Madelynn at 1 month of age.  I think she slept through most of the event - which is quite normal for babies.
Hunter decided to show Abby how to use a shovel.
This is Tracy two days before delivery - I am sure Travis was making some smart remark about when her baby was coming.
This is the owl that watched us while we ate.  He never moved from the position the whole time we were there.  It was kind of spooky have an owl watch you.
We stayed long enough that the kids had a chance to feed the chickens and then continue to feed the chickens, and then feed the chickens some more food!
David caught a few of the baby chicks and let the kids hold them - Aftyn was so proud of herself for holding on to this chicken long enough for me to snap a picture.
And of course, Dennis guarding the pocket-stew from burning.

Ah - so relaxing!!!

Abby turns 3

Well - these grandkids just keep getting older and older - Abby has reached the good old age of 3 and wow does she know it. We had a fun day with Abby on her birthday with lots of people here to celebrate it with her. Tanner, Chelsey, Tenille and kids, Travis, Ryann and kids (including the newest member of the clan (Madelynn), Brian and Liz, Keith and of course Dennis and I. I probably left someone out - let me know so I can add your name. Abby had a blast at her party with a trip to the local theater for a movie, and then back to our house for pizza, cake and opening presents.  Tracy and Tyler were over to the house several times prior to Abby's birthday trying to make it a surprise.  Tracy was learning to sew - see her fantastic work at the end with a tear drop ottoman pillow for Abby and Tyler in the garage putting together Abby's car.

Some of the very special guests at the party
Abby all dressed up and soon-to-be Mom!
Grandpa Keith, Dad and (Brian's son - sorry his name has escaped me).
Abby learning how to drive - look out public roadways!
Hunter's face says it all - maybe Abby should get a license first!
Abby was all smiles and happy to be a passenger for a very short while.
Here is Tracy's creative sewing - Abby had a blast playing on it!

Lizzie's big event with the Osmonds

Lizzie had a couple of very exciting days with the Osmond family.  On Thursday, May 12, Merrill Osmond (Justin's father) held a benefit concert for the Olive Osmond Hearing Foundation.  It was a beautiful, fun filled evening.  We started off with a VIP dinner at 5:30 pm where the local radio host MC'd the dinner.  Tenille and Lizzie had to go up front and Justin introduced Lizzie as one of the benefactors for hearing aids.  It was announced that they had a raised enough money to sponsor 250 more children with hearing aids!  Wow, that was just incredible.  Then off to the concert that night where we all had tickets down in front of the stage - Dennis, Jill, Tracy, Chelsey, Alyssa and Grant.  The concert was very impressive and Merrill has a great voice.  They showed video's of the Osmond family through the years with a couple of pictures of Lizzie and the other 2 children that also received hearing aids. (The picture of Lizzie filled up the entire screen on the stage).  The highlight of the evening was when Bear World (a sponsor of the event) brought out a baby cub and the kids all got to pet and see the bear while they were on stage.  They auctioned off naming the new cub to the audience and it went for $1,000 - just for a name!  I have a few pictures, but it was really dark at the Colonial so my pictures weren't very good.  On Saturday, they held a marathon race with over 500 runners (they were only expecting around 300 runners - it was great turn out)  Some of the runner's came and asked to have their pictures taken with "Lizzie" - I guess that makes her a "celebrity" at 18 months only.

Tenille, Lizzie, Bear World Bear and the other hearing aid recipients - notice that each of the kids also received gold metals. which are hanging around their necks.
